Expert, Compassionate Care in a Child-Friendly Environment
The Pediatric Infusion Program is staffed by pediatric certified registered nurses who are Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy providers. Your children are in caring hands, backed by more than three decades of nursing experience.
All infusions are performed in the Betty H. Cameron Women's & Children's pediatric specialty clinic, offering your child a safe, stress-free and comfortable environment in which to receive care. Dedicated, private infusion rooms are child-friendly areas where you child can read, watch TV or movies, or play video games while they receive treatment. Our Child Life Services specialists are also available to work with children and families during their time here to help ease anxiety.
Making an Appointment
All appointments begin with a physician referral. Appointments are available Monday through Thursday, but other times can be accommodated by request. Call 910.662.8888 for appointments.
What to Expect During Your Visit
Treatment times will vary depending on type of treatment. In general treatments may take anywhere from as little as 15 minutes to up to nine hours.
We encourage one adult caregiver to stay with their child during treatment so we can offer teaching opportunities and support services.
